The JAX Chamber welcomed a delegation from Poland to Jacksonville for a tour of the Port of Jacksonville on Friday — and signed a joint declaration with Polskie LNG “to explore potential areas of cooperation with regard to the production, storage, safe handling and utilization of LNG.”

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Polskie LNG as both communities continue to develop LNG as a multi-modal fuel in the maritime industry,” said Christopher Quinn, Vice President of Industry & Government Affairs and signatory of the joint declaration on behalf of JAX Chamber.

“We look forward to working with Polskie LNG and Polish Partners in developing strong connections with Northeast Florida.”

The joint declaration establishes a regular dialogue to look for various end-use applications as well as safe and secure maintenance and operation of LNG terminals, along with any other matters that may be mutually agreeable to the parties.

Slawomir Sieradzki, Deputy Director of Development Division for Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A., signed on behalf of Polskie LNG S.A.

“This is an important partnership of two regions that are developing best practices and investing in LNG technologies,” Sieradzki said. “We thank JAX Chamber for showing us the latest developments in Jacksonville and we look forward to working together.”

The delegation met with JAX Chamber members in the spirit of friendship and cooperation, discussing the energy landscape and impact of natural gas in the region. The day featured tours of the Port of Jacksonville led by JAXPORT, Eagle LNG, JAX LNG, TOTE Maritime and other experts in the LNG industry.
